FAQ

How hard are freeskates to learn?

Freeskates are easier to learn than you'd think! With proper instruction, it's possible to be riding downhill and on flat in about 5 hours and conquering slight hills in around 15 hours (~1-2 weeks of consistent practice).

To put this in perspective, this is less time than it takes to learn juggling, unicycling, or how to ollie on a skateboard.

How can I learn?

What are JMKRIDE freeskates made of?

A complete set is comprised of wheels, bearings, trucks, decks, and grip tape.

  • Our decks are painted aircraft-grade aluminum.
  • Our trucks are painted high-strength steel.
  • Our bearings are custom-made ABEC-7 quality rated with built-in spacers for added durability.
  • Our wheels are 78a high quality PU, 73x43mm
    center-set hub
  • Our grip tape is custom made for freeskates.

Any Assembly Required?

Yes, minor assembly is necessary. The skates are shipped partially assembled in a box. The decks must be attached using the included tool and the grip must be applied. See our assembly tutorial here: Assembly tutorial.

How can I connect with the community?

Join "USA Freeskaters" on Facebook. We try to approve requests same-day, but please reach out via messenger or email if there is an issue with this.

Don't be shy to ask for help! Everyone in the freeskate community loves to help share this fantastic sport, and everyone was in your shoes at one time. No one has ever hopped on freeskates and been able to just ride away.

Is there a weight limit?

We have a 300lb+ former MMA fighter and a 500lb+ TikToker use our skates. The steel truck and solid construction hold up very well to most weights, and we have not encountered any human weight limits yet.

What is the Return Policy?
